كيف نستفيد من التاريخ؟ - How Can We Benefit from History?

لقد كشفت كل الشواهد التاريخيّة عن حقيقة كبيرة وهي أن جميع الشعوب التي عانت من البؤس والحرمان والعبودية والذل والفقر، إنّما عانت من ذلك لأنها كم تتّخذ الموقف المناسب في الوقت المناسب. ولا يمكن لأي إنسان أو أي شعب أن يعرف الموقف المناسب للوقت إلا بمعرفة مساره الزمني وكيف تطوّر على مر الزمان، وهذا ما توفره لنا دراسة التاريخ

All historical evidence has revealed a great truth: all peoples who have suffered misery, deprivation, slavery, humiliation, and poverty have suffered because they have taken the right stance at the right time. No person or people can know the right stance at the right time unless they know their own chronological path and how it has evolved over time, and this is what the study of history provides.
